Here are a few things you need to know about reading this website:

Unless otherwise specified, everything on this site reflects my personal ideas and opinions, based on my professional experiences and my understanding of the resources I cite. These are not the opinions of the American Music Therapy Association, the Certification Board for Music Therapists, or any other professional organization.

I share many links on this site that allow you to buy things. Some of these are affiliate links, which means I may get a small payment from a company for sending a customer their way. Rest assured, I only link to businesses and products that I support and trust.

Music therapy is based on a relationship between a client and a music therapist, grounded in music. While I do hope that the information I share here is helpful for you and the people you care for, reading this site is not the same thing as music therapy.

If you’re in the Kansas City area, I would love to work with you in a formal music therapy relationship. Contact me for more info.

If you’re not local to Kansas City, you can find a music therapist in your area through the American Music Therapy Association or the Certification Board for Music Therapists.
