***Hot off the presses!***
Did you know we have a new Code of Ethics at the American Music Therapy Association, effective February 1, 2019?
Our AMTA Ethics Board wrote a new code from scratch, the Assembly of Delegates approved it at the 2018 AMTA conference, and now it’s your turn to familiarize yourself with this key document in ethical decision making.
So, we hosted a free webinar to give YOU an overview of the new code. Here’s your invitation:
Your presenter is me – Rachelle Morgan, MA, MT-BC. I’ve been a board-certified music therapist and ethics NERD since 2004.
I founded my music therapy private practice as a brand-new MT-BC and have been in business for the last 14+ years. In recent years, I’ve spent more and more time teaching and mentoring other music therapists, too.
I’m adjunct faculty at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and a frequent presenter on ethics as well as topic related to eldercare and music therapy business. I also serve on the AMTA Assembly of Delegates for the Midwestern Region and am on the Music Therapy Business Owners task force for AMTA.
I LOVE ethics discussions and totally enjoyed presenting this webinar!
Here’s what you’ll cover:
- The one big difference between the previous code of ethics and the new code of ethics
- The reasoning and process behind getting the new Code of Ethics to happen
- My very favorite addition to the new Code of Ethics
- … plus some ethical dilemmas, because I just can’t resist 🙂
